3. Cleopatra Island

Cleopatra chose Turkey and this area as private and secret meet up place for spending her time with her lover Marc Anthony. According to the legend, Cleopatara did not like the sand on the sea and special sand were brought for her from Egypt. We dont have facts or proof for this particular folklore. You can access the beach from Kas through dolmus and getting off at Kaputas plaji.

 

6. Bodrum

Bodrum means ‘basement’ in Turkish language and is one of the top summer destination for the Turkish upper class. This elegant town of Bodrum is completely white. This city also add beautiful pink and turquoise colour from bougaivillea flower and the fantastic sea. You will find plenty of boutique hotels, trendy restaurants and nightclubs.

You can easily get to Bodrum by flying from Istanbul and then you can easily reach city center by taking Havas bus.

7.  Kaş

This is an ideal beach to explore is this beach which is located in the town of Kas. The beach Kaputas can easily be accessed through water taxi which will take you directly to Liman Ağzı which is around 3 km away from Kas.

You can also take a boat trip to Kekova (an ancient sunken city) and Kalekoy (the ancient village of Simena).

You can travel to this city from Fethiye and Antalya on bus as it is two and half hour and three and a half hour away.

 

8. Ölüdeniz – Blue Lagoon beach

This amazing Blue Lagoon Beach is a stunning place without any doubt and is considered to be the best beach in Turkey. This place is overcrowded in summers and that is the downside of the place. You can also try paragliding as it is the best spot for it.

You can fly to Dalaman from Istanbul. From there you can take shuttle service to Fethiye and another bus to Ölüdeniz.

9. Antalya

Antalya is the largest city which is located on westren Mediterranean coast and is considered to be a gateway to the Turkish Riviera. It is the most visited site by the tourist. It has some of the best beaches in Turkey like Konyaalti and Lara beach.

You can easily access this place by directly flying from Istanbul to Antalya or taking bus.

10. Aydıncık, Mersin

This beach has warm waters. You will find Flamingoes and other birds bathing in the salt water. You can also find black mud which is considered to be good for healing skin.
