1. Aladağlar National Park

This park was established in 1995 and is located in the mountainous region of anti-Taurus Mountains in southern part of Turkey and is one of the top 10 best hiking trails. It is spreaded over 55,000 hectare and with an elevation of 3,500 meters. The name Ala-Daglar literally means Crimson Mountains and this particular mountains reflects rusty colours of its hills in the sunsets. This region hosts one of the tallest mountains in central Turus Mountains of Turkey.

This is the perfect attraction for hikers and alpinists as number of peaks are ready to be tackled in the region. The highest can be  climbed in two days time. But if you are not climber then Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls  near the village of Buyukcakir is perfect spot wheree one stay at night and enjoy the incredible mountain air.

 

2. Lake Beyşehir National Park

This park is located in the Konya province and is considered to be one of the most important sanctuary for its 14- flora varieties and 16 species of freshwater fish as well as birds. This park is perfect for trekking, hiking and mountain biking with plenty of campgrounds and hotel in Beysehir.

This lake is one of the important wetlands of Turkey and is heavily influenced by pollution rising from surrounding agricultural and residential areas. It has 33 small islands which are considered important because of breeding and migrating birds.

 

3. Nemrut Dağı National Park

The famoust trekking and hiking points in Turkey is this place of huge sculptures of Gods on the mountains. In addition this place has rich history associated with it. This region was tumulus of Antioch and his sacred space. This tumulus is around 2150 m high and overlooks River Firat. 6. Beydağları Coastal National Park

This park which is also called as Olympos Bey Mountains stretches over 34,000 hecters and includes ancient settlements of Olympos, Phaselis, and Idyros in the midst of all wild flora and beaches. You can visit the archaeological sites while going on trekking, camping and mountain climbing. Tgus area is in westren part of Taurus Mountain which is made up of limestone, serpentine rocks and other characteristics of Mediterranean.

 

7. Munzur Valley National Park

This largest and most biodiverse national park of Turkey as it is rich in wildlife and flora. It is located in eastren Anatolia and due to its climatic condition it is recommended to visit this place in June and August. This park is spread across 42,657 hectares and surrounded by rich mountains supporting fauna and flora. It sits right across the Munzer Su River. There has been 2000-3000 meter peak which is worth the trekking and hiking.

8. Dilek Peninsula National Park

This National Park in Kusadasi is one of the natural heritages in Turkey spread on an area of 27.58 hecters and was decalred ntional park in 1966. It can be reached through Kusadasi and Soke highway and lies in admist of Mediterranean flora with blue and emerald coloured beaches. This provides an excellent opportunities for nature photgraphy and hiking activities in this beautiful views of landscape and sea.

9. Yedigöller National Park

This famous for seven lakes which were formed by landslides. It gives beautiful and mesmerizing visual composition of trees and water in different season. You can enjoy the peaceful and relaxing time there by camping there and going on long stroll. In winters, it also serves as best ski centers.

10. Uludağ National Park

This is one of the most popular skiing destination in Turkey. It rises to 2000m and is perfect place for winter sports. This park is also a good spot for hiking and camping due to rich fauna and flora. Uludag which was previously known as Olympos Misios in ancient times is famous for its mythology as the place where the Gods and Trojan war happened. The annual visitors are around 1 million. It  is near to both Bursa dn Istanbul city.
